What Keeps the Turf In Place?
Our turf will not wash away or blow away, if that’s your question. The turf’s own weight (approximately 1-2 pound per square foot) will usually be enough to keep it secure, but we do recommend some infill to help the fibers stand up naturally and prevent “matting.” Additionally, the infill will assist in weighing down the turf for an even more secure and trouble free installation. A combination of sand and rubber infill are popular choices for infill materials. For higher traffic areas, many people prefer the “soft” feel of rubber granule infill. For lighter traffic areas, cheaper sand infill can be used.
