There are plenty of things you can to keep yourself regularly looking beautiful, pampered and refreshed.

Basic Beauty Tips

  • Get plenty of sleep: Your body requires 7 or 8 hours of sleep every night to restore your body and regenerate skin cells. Plentiful rest will leave you feeling and looking refreshed and invigorated, as well as provide you with energy for the next day.
  • Drink lots of water: Your body is made up of 60-70% water, which means that you will constantly need to rehydrate yourself throughout the day to help your bodily processes along throughout the day. You should aim for at least 6 8-ounce glasses of water per day. Drinking lots of water also helps to purge your skin from toxins, clearing it from acne and blemishes.
  • Keep a facial routine: Stick to a simple, daily care routine for your face. Before sleep every night, remove all traces of make up and dirt with a gentle skin cleanser, followed by a moisturizer. In the mornings, be sure to wear sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15 every day. Even a few minutes of unprotected sun exposure every day will increase signs of sun damage on your skin, like sun spots and wrinkles.
  • Eat foods high in antioxidants and omega-3, such as berries, red and green peppers, avocados, olive oil and salmon. These foods will deliver nutrients to your skin from the inside, helping you achieve a healthy glow on the outside.
  • It can be helpful to visit a spa once in a while just to pamper yourself. At spas, you can indulge in treatments like mud wraps, facials, massages and salt scrubs that will help exfoliate skin and rejuvenate you. At the very least, visiting a spa is a relaxing experience that will help dissolve the daily stressors of your life that can contribute to looking tired or run-down.
