What kind of food do people eat in mexico??

I lived with two different Mexican families over the course of 10 weeks and 2 summers. Breakfast with one family was corn flakes (yes, Kellogg’s!) and a fruit plate with mango, pineapple, bananas, watermelon, oranges, and guayaba. Another family gave us the choice of French toast, eggs, and pancakes. We drank fruit juice. In the restaurants, there would be eggs with refried beans and shredded cheese on top of the eggs with fresh fruit. There would be red sauce on the eggs. Around 2:00 everyone goes home for comida, which is the big meal of the day. Warm tortillas, which are bought at the local tortilleria fresh, are always served. They don’t taste like the slabs like are sold in the refrigerator section in the USA. They are soft and have a much more flavorful corn taste. Usually there is a soup course and a main dish served with rice and cooked vegetables. Rice and salsa picante are served on the side. The main dish might be enchiladas, picadillo (a stew with beef or ground beef), chic
