What kind of joinery does Habitat Post & Beam use?
We use a variety of wood joints and hidden fasteners depending on the framing members being connected. We typically not use exposed metal connectors on any of our homes or additions unless requested by our clients for decorative purposes. With the inclusion of hidden fasteners such as lag bolts, barn spikes and custom steel plates, we are able to surpass the limitations of traditional wood.
