What kind of material is best for bathroom countertops and sinks?
Solid surface countertops can be fabricated with a monolithic sink as well, providing a continuous surface that is easy to keep clean and they come in a wide range of colors and patterns. Granite or silestone may cost you more money and look better, depending on your taste, but need to have a sink mounted to them separately, which is also an option with solid surface. A stainless steel sink is trendier and typically more durable than the standard porcelain finish. If you choose an undermounted sink with any countertop option, there will be no lip on the countertop thus making the surface easier to clean. Those are the most common two options for bathroom surfaces. Neither one stains easily and I’ve never seen a burn mark on either one before so you should be safe.
