i hae forsethia trees have to trim them 2 to 3 times a year its a lot of work not to mention the cost of getting the trimmings taken away it all depends on how much you want to spend in money, time for upkeep go to a nursery the should have a selection of shrubs that will fit your needs and look good i hope to replace mine by 2009 have a good plan so i will hopefully be please if you can afford to have a landscaper look at your property that might help
