Nearly every building material has historically contained asbestos. Asbestos was used in over 3000 building products. Most asbestos building material types are friable or have become so with deterioration due to age, weathering or wear and tear. A list of suspect asbestos containing materials can be found in Asbestos Survey Guidance.  more
