What kinds of structures are more difficult for CZ2D to handle?
CZ2D handles structures composed of rectangles and right triangles, and these shapes must be aligned along the x, y, and z directions. This set of shapes allows users to handle most cases of interest. However, structures such as hollow shells may be difficult to model accurately. Furthermore, in more conventional shapes, there may be some problems when the hypotenuses of right triangles have different slopes, yet are aligned along either of the two transverse directions. This usually is not a problem for conventional structures.
