What made dinosaurs extinct?

Dinosaurs aren’t extinct – there are lots of them living in my garden. Of course these are the sort of dinosaurs that we call ‘birds’. But strictly speaking, they’re still dinosaurs. If you’re asking why the big dinos like T Rex and Triceratops died out, well no-one knows for sure. The big impact that happened at the boundary of the Cretaceous and Tertiary Periods looks like it had something to do with it, although there are still big dino fossils which are dated to well past that event.

They say it was that darned asteroid that hit the Earth millions of years ago. . & that was it- The Dinosaurs perished in a smoked-blaze! However, if truth be told, scientists are not absolutely sure what took them out for good.
