Plumbers are in the problem-solving business. That means that a good plumber should always make sure they are part of the solution, not part of the problem. That means you should be organized, punctual, well informed, and have decent people skills.

The latter is more important than many would-be plumbers realize. Whenever you get called to fix a problem, you actually have two big problems to deal with: the person who called you, and whatever made them call you. Often, the solution to a problem is simple, but getting a client to take your suggestion or agree to your price is downright impossible.

A good plumber will be able to earn a client’s trust and go over the problem as many times as it takes for the client to feel comfortable making the necessary investment. They will also, of course, know when to cut an unreasonable client loose.

If being a plumber sounds like something you’d enjoy doing, try reading this guide on how to become a plumber.

A lot of things come into play actually. The ones that I find the most important from a customer point of view are professionalism, of course, and being kind as a human. Pretty reasonable if you ask me. The last one comes from a bad experience that I had with a plumber many years ago, that I don’t even want to remember. It was then that I discovered https://www.plumbersingapore.org/ which is an amazing company and has some amazing people working there. I’ve only collaborated with them ever since on all of my plumbing systems and issues.

What is your question?
