What makes one tattoo machine better than another?
The differences are vast. They’re making machines from everything from iron to steel to brass to plastic. Irons are top of the line, and Martini (Italy) makes some of the finest in the world, for the price. The Headbutt or the Moko are awesome and versitile, and are handmade with 8 wrap coils. Texas Irons also makes a fine selection. The Irons don’t rely on a frame for the armature bar to take voltage, and are preffered worldwide. Then there are a bewildering assortment of good machines by Micky Sharpz, Bicknee, some good affordable machines made by Cam Supply, the good ones start at $150, and sometimes you just get lucky on Ebay. The headbutt I mentioned weighs only six and a half ounces. If you want more opinions, talk to the good folks on Inkednation.com. Take care.
