What mathematical formula will be used to calculate funding amounts for General Program Support grants?
Following approval by the Secretary of State and based on appropriation, all approved General Program Support applicants will receive funding using the following method: • If the appropriation is equal to the funding recommendation, all applicants will be awarded their full recommendation. • If the appropriation is less than the funding recommendation, each applicant request will be reduced by a percentage based on score. If the request is still greater than the appropriation, each request will be reduced proportionally until the total of all requests equals the amount appropriated by the Legislature. To calculate an award amount if appropriation is less than the funding recommendation, start with the: • request amount, • total appropriation, and the • score of the application.
