What methods does the body use to maintain a constant body temperature? ?
Homeostasis- there are lots of ways that you can maintain a constant body temp such as sweating in which the evaporating sweat removes energy in the form of heat from the skin causing it to cool. When you get cold your hair pricks up this traps a layer of warm air around your skin insulating it. When you are hot the arterioles in your skin dilate causing the blood to come closer to the surface and therefore more heat is lost (vaso-dilation). When you are cold these arterioles constrict stopping heat loss (vaso constriction).
