What more physical football or lacrosse?

I played football for 9 years and lacrosse for 11. Football is undoubtedly more physical in a hitting sense. You are going to get hit, and get hit hard, on pretty much every play in football. Football is a sport that is designed to have collisions on every single play. Good, hard body checks occur occasionally in lacrosse, but they’re few and far between. But with lacrosse, you get hit with a metal pole. For attackmen and middies, your shoulders and forearms are going to take a beating, and will probably be black and blue all spring. But football is without a doubt the more physical sport of the two.
