If the individual is a licensed practical nurse without an NREMT certification he or she must go to Basic Training and do the following: Attend the 16 week 68W Course at Fort Sam Houston Via DA 4187, request award of MOS 68wM6 If the individual is a licensed practical nurse with an NREMT certification at the Basic, Intermediate or Paramedic level, he or she must do the following: Go to Basic Training. Attend the 16 week 68w Course (Individual will be advanced beyond the EMT training to the start of the 7th week).
