Sunday June 10, 2007 There were some good things that happened for Michelle Wie at the LPGA Championship: she didn’t withdraw; she didn’t shoot 88; and once the tournament started, she didn’t do anything to get the rest of the players mad at her. Then there was most everything else: she did post an 83; she finished last, 10 shots behind the next-to-last player; her 309 total was 35 strokes higher than winner Suzann Pettersen’s total. There are two important things she demonstrated, however: • She showed – as she has many times in the past – that she’s got guts.
