What other scientist most influenced Einstein?
Works that provided the basis for special relativity: maxwell, lorentz, michelson and morley Planck for the quantization hypothesis that Einstein used to explain the photoelectric effect. For general relativity, Einstein owes a lot to the mathematicians who developed differential geometry, of which Reimann was foremost. When you come right down to it, every physicist builds on the work of Newton who codified classical mechanics (which Einstein improved with special relativity) and gravity (which Einstein improved with general relativity).
