What percentage is considered a very generous tip in a restaurant?
Twenty percent is the best amount to tip. It’s generous without being extravagant. Fifteen percent is the minimum. I normally tip thirty percent at breakfast, because I spend more time sitting at the table drinking coffee, also because breakfast waitresses are usually the busiest and the bill is usually a lot lower than any other meal.
