On average, Ipswich recycles 25% of its waste stream, not including large items such as metal appliances, which get recycled separately. The State goal is to increase recycling substantially to achieve an overall 70% waste reduction of municipal solid waste and construction and demolition debris. More recycling by more residents can help Ipswich on its way to meeting this important goal.
