What percentage of people worldwide speak fluently in more than one language?

I would imagine that today a large percentage of the population can speak more than one language, I would guess that only around 40% of humans can speak only in their native tongues (for the record, I speak two languages entirely fluently and can fake my way through conversations in several others). But I have no statistics or evidence to back this up.
