What pre-requisites are required to enrol in this course?
Nurses with qualifications and a minimum of 5 years experience working in areas including Emergency Department, Midwifery, Maternal and Child Health, Sexual Health or Community Nursing or other related fields are invited to apply. Nurse Practitioners or NP Candidates are welcomed to apply also. Other areas that have relevant competencies are welcome to contact us to discuss your interest and application. It is preferred that applicants for this stream (adult sexual assault) have training or experience in genital examinations and venapuncture. Consideration will be given to applicants that do not fill this requirement but are willing to undergo further practical training. Entry will be based on available places in the course.
