You MUST stop plucking or waxing hair four weeks for laser to be effective. Avoid the sun, tanning and tanning creams 7-14 days before and after YAG treatments or 4-6 weeks before and after GentleLASE treatments. If you have a tan from sun exposure or sunless tanning products, you must wait until the tan fades completely before you can undergo laser hair removal. Avoid irritants such as products containing glycolic acid or Retin-A in the area for 5-7 days. Shave the desired treatment area the night before laser treatment. Do not wear make-up or deodorant over the area you want treated when coming for treatment. You should plan on wearing clothing that will allow easy access to the area being treated. Do not wear any jewelry including wrist watch during the procedure.
