What precious cargo awaits?
Xev and Kai arrive at the door to the rear section of the ship, but are unable to open it. Thinking quickly, Xev calls 790 and asks him to activate the door from the bridge. The cyborg body punts 790 across the deck, where he conveniently strikes the door activation mechanism. The door opens, and a glowing force field activates behind the door. Kai passes his hand through the barrier and determines that it is harmless. They pass through, finding themselves in an enormous space filled with catwalks, gantries and ladders. After a few false starts, 790’s control of the cyborg begins to improve. Not your everyday yolk Xev and Kai discover a hold containing several cargo pods. Kai opens one of the pods and descends into it. At the bottom, he discovers, “A large ovoid object; potentially an alien egg of some kind.” The cyborg places 790 atop its shoulders. The robot suffers an electronic seizure, and the body lurches across the bridge. Kai examines the possibly alien egg. He detects movement
