What products and support does Emerson offer to help plants meet these new regulations?

Many Emerson Process Management products can play a role in meeting these new measurement and reporting requirements. Customers must ensure that each meter is better than 5% accurate and it is realistic to expect that these requirements could tighten in the future. Metering equipment must be properly calibrated, easy to install and data should be easily gathered for annual reports. Also, the application or economics (i.e. price of natural gas) may justify much higher performance meters to help control combustion or “check” meters or allocate natural or fuel gas/oil costs. It is expected in the future that EPA accuracy requirements will be tightened and GHG emissions reduced.
