What products has Dunkin Donuts recalled due to the recent salmonella outbreak?”
Dunkin’ Donuts Temporarily Stops Hot Chocolate Due to Salmonella … Fans of Dunkin’ Donuts hot chocolate and Dunkaccino drinks will have to go without for the time being since the products have been temporarily pulled from stores across the country due to concerns they might be tainted with salmonella.
On the one day in July when you might actually consider buying a hot chocolate at a Dunkin’ Donuts in Chicago — brrrr — the New England-based chain has temporarily stopped serving hot chocolate, or anything with the Dunkaccino label. According to a story this morning from the Associated Press, the company is having a salmonella scare. Dunkin’ is worried that “equipment used at a supplier’s facility might have been contaminated,” though points out none of its own products were contaminated. They just want to be safe, they say. The problem is a Minnesota supplier of instant nonfat dried milk and whey protein. Dunkin’ has 6,400 locations in the United States — and more than 250 in the Chicago area.
