It depends on the format of the movies you download. If you download DVD ISO images (.iso or similar), all you need is a DVD/CD writing program like ImgBurn, which is a free (and very small) download and can write any images or files onto CD or DVD. If the .iso images you download are bigger than 4.38GB in size, you will first need to shrink the image using DVD Shrink (again, that’s a free download). The time needed to shrink the image can be up to an hour or longer depending on the speed of your computer, but should take no longer than 10-15 minutes on a modern dual or quad core machine. Writing speed varies from writer to writer. On a modern writer of 16x speed or faster, it should take about 5 minutes to write a full DVD. If you download .avi files, these will probably be in XviD or DivX format, which do not work on a DVD player unless it specifically supports these formats.
