What qualifications would i need to work at a zoo?
That depends what job you want to do in a zoo – keeper, restaurant worker, gift shop worker, groundskeeper, electrician, director, etc. For example, if you wanted to be a zoo director, you would need a degree in business management. If you wanted to work in the gift shop, you probably wouldn’t need anything beyond a basic education – you don’t even have to be good at maths, since the tills do all the working out for you. I used to be a zookeeper, so I can tell you about that in more detail. The most important thing for becoming a zookeeper is to gain experience with animals. Most zoos are more interested in this than in qualifications – I got the job without any qualifications other than G.C.S.E.s.
