WHAT QUALIFIES AS FRAUD OR COERCION?
During your Timeshare presentation you were told of all the wonderful possibilities that await you as an owner of Timeshare and as a member of an exchange company. Once you became an owner you found out this was not the case! If the sales person or any sales staff told you that you could BENEFIT FINANCIALLY from owning a Timeshare, then this statement alone is legal grounds to void your contract. If you were told that it would APPRECIATE IN VALUE, this is also legal grounds to have your contract voided. Were you told that you could RENT IT OUT, when you didn’t use it yourself, and MAKE MONEY? What about signing on using resort financing at inflated interest rates and being told you could REFINANCE your Timeshare at your local bank when you got back home? Did they make promises about how EASY THE EXCHANGE PROGRAM was to use and that you could trade your week or weeks of Timeshare anywhere you wanted at anytime of the year?
