What reading skills is Professor Brainstorm improving – developing – refining?
Children are learning to become more efficient encoders and decoders, which help them, read faster and solve unknown words faster while reading and writing. The faster a child can read, the more fluent they become and the more fluent they are, the better their levels of comprehension will be. Many students have already reported that they now understand vowel patterns and can “see” them in words, where they were unable to before, despite their teacher’s efforts to teach them to see the patterns using other methods.
