What rebates are available to home owners?
Until the 31st of June 2009 the Solar Homes and Communities Plan (SHCP) is available to homeowners. It provides $8000 dollars to people who own their own home and have a combined spousal income of less than $100,000 per annum. Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) can also be generated that will reduce the cost of a system by about $1000 for every kilowatt installed.
