To generate reports for domains and the corresponding member servers, ensure the following settings are set appropriately: • “Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP” option is enabled under the “Advanced” button in WINS tab of the TCP/IP property sheet. • Internet Connection Firewall (ICF) feature in Microsoft Windows XP is disabled on the network connection that you use, since Internet firewalls can prevent browsing and file sharing: • Computer Browser service is started. • Following services are started: • Remote Registry – For accessing any remote registry information like Registry key’s values and applied permissions. • Spooler – For retrieving printer information. • Event Log – For retrieving event log messages. • Task Scheduler – For running the configured scheduled tasks at their scheduled times.
