What services will BRS pay for?
Many resources may be used to cover the costs of services under your Employment Plan, including your resources, your family s, your insurance or benefits, other public programs and/or BRS. Your Employment Plan should spell out who is responsible to pay for each service. – You will be asked to voluntarily contribute resources toward the cost of your Employment Plan. BRS strongly believes that individual investment is an important ingredient in making the Employment Plan meaningful and successful. You are not, however, required to provide a contribution, and your plan cannot be held up if you are not able to contribute. – Before BRS funds can be used, BRS is required by law to determine if there are other resources (such as other agencies, your health insurance, financial aid for post-secondary education, employee benefits) that will pay for the services you need under your Employment Plan.
