What sets Speakeasy Tiger apart from other bands?
We are a female-fronted five-piece band, and the best way to describe our music is electro rock. Our group is incredibly diverse and we work hard to display that at every show. We have two girls in the band and three boys — and we all have incredible different personalities. We’re the kind of band that no matter where we play, we still put on the same 100 percent performance. We’re not waiting for someone to make an amazing career offer. We’re not afraid to do it on our own and build and shape our own careers. Q: What exciting things have been happening with the band’s career? A: The last six months have been really incredible! On July 11, we released our first full-length record, The Public. It was the second best selling record at Independent Records in July. We also won Westword’s “Best Pop Band” award in 2009.
