Currently Google Desktop for Linux offers the following keyboard shortcuts: – Ctrl-Ctrl Pressing Ctrl twice makes the Quick Search Box (QSB) appear. – Esc Hide the search box. The hotkey used to open the QSB is now configurable. To do so, please follow these steps: 1. Open Google Desktop Preferences by clicking the “Desktop Preferences” link on your personal Google Desktop homepage. 2. Click the “Display” tab and scroll down to the “Keyboard Hotkey” section. 3. Click the “Change Hotkey” button to open the configuration dialog. 4. Select the hotkey field and use your keyboard to press the new combination. (Make sure you press the keys simultaneously) 5. Release the key combination, and the new value should appear in the hotkey field. 6. Click “Ok” to apply the change. You can restore the Ctrl-Ctrl hotkey at any time by by clicking the “Use Default” button in the “Change Hotkey” dialog mentioned above.
