In most cases, buying a bed frame involves buying an entire bed. Some furniture retailers include a bed frame whenever a new bed is purchased. In many cases, buying a new mattress also includes a new bed frame. However, the need to purchase a bed frame alone may also arise. Special and closeout buys on new beds or mattresses generally do not include bed frames. Other situations may warrant buying just a bed frame such as if an existing bed frame should break. There are a few considerations to keep in mind when buying a bed frame. The two most commonly found types of bed frames are metal and wooden.
