Use your free time and breaks to surf the Web for new job opportunities. Buy yourself a newspaper and check out the classifieds while you pull shots. Also, talk to your customers. Most of them have jobs or are being supported by someone who does. Ask what they do and where they work. Ask if they enjoy it. Be cautious and respectful of your current workplace, boss and co-workers. Don’t go so far as to ask if they’re hiring unless you’re sure no one will overhear you.
