What should i feed my underweight standardbred?

When I get a rescue, first thing I do is have my vet out [who is also an equine dentist] and have a general exam done. I have teeth checked and I usually just deworm anyway [I use Quest Plus Gel once a week for 2 weeks, a lot cheaper than power packing and it’s just as efective] just to make sure. For a diet, it’s all the grass hay the horse wants, beet pulp, and a senior feed. The beet pulp is pretty safe. The senior feed should be introduced and increased gradually. I also give Cool Calories 100 as a fat supplement. It seems to work the best and is the most cost effective.
