What size nylon satin cord should I use for Chinese knotting?

If you’re just learning, the 3mm nylon satin cord is great for practicing. It’s always easier to try something out that is a little larger, and it makes it easier to see the loops in the knots. For standard Chinese knotting, the 2mm is used. In her Ornamental Knots for Beaded Jewellery book, Suzen Millodot uses the 1mm nylon satin cord for a few projects.
