Your wireless connection will not be as fast as your wired connection. The two best solutions to this issue would be to 1) run another cable from the original device (be it modem or router) or 2) (since you decided you do not want to run another cable) get a small 5 port switch (retails between 15 and 70 dollars depending on type etc., you will just need a plain one, no fancy stuff). You will also need a very short ethernet cable (measure the distance from where the end of the cable/swtich will be, to the device for exact measurement). At the end of your current cable, you will place the switch, plug the cable into the switch, then have two smaller cables from the switch to each device (one to the PC, one to the Xbox). Most switches will come with a small ethernet cable, but check to make sure so you leave with all the products you need.
