What species of bear would be the most even matchup against a full-grown silverback gorilla?
Answer Hey again Brad! Hope all is well. The problem for the Gorilla, is that even if it out-weighs a particular Bear species, the physical advantages are still heightened for the Bear. Bears have a much higher, more robust physical constitution than Apes. They have thicker, stronger bones, a high content of muscle aided by a healthy degree of bodyfat, and that muscle spreads into their limbs which gives them tremendous power and leverage, especially in their forelimbs. Gorillas in comparison are like a sterioid-induced version of a human, so they carry similar weaknesses. Denser bones and much more penetrable skin, which in turn gives them a very low pain thresh-hold in comparison to the Bear, which is such a resilient, armored beast. The easiest Bear species for the Gorilla to tackle would be the Sun Bear. Sun Bears are the smallest of all Bear species, and are vastly outweighed by a mature Silverback Gorilla. The Gorilla is much more agile, and would be able to out-maneuever the Bea
