What specifications for temporary outdoor lights would be similar to car headlights?
Well, I have solar powered lights from B&Q, and they are pretty dull. I can see like, a tree, in the garden at night. I don’t think solar is that bright in general, but LED lights are fairly energy efficient. Solar-powered lights need no wiring as they store the energy of sunlight in a battery. They are not a powerful light source, so if you want to light a large area, you’ll need quite a number of them. As their power fades, so does their light. Also, kids steal them for their treehouses. I would suggest you get some that run on an underground cable, or if you are feeling bold, drill a hole in your wall and run them off there. You really need floodlights or garage fixed security lights if you want the same as a car headlamp. 500w is really bright, like a football pitch almost. This would be a PIR floodlight. You can buy energy saving ones, that say they are the same brightness, but are only 250w, but they are kind of dull… I do think they are adiquate for normal use.
