What sports teams are planned for Chinook?
Chinook High School will offer a complete range of athletic opportunities to our students. We have been accepted into the Lethbridge Schools Athletic Association which will allow our students to compete in Cross-Country, Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton and Track and Field at the Grade 9 level. At the High School level we have been accepted into the Southern Alberta Interscholastic Athletic Council (SAIAC) leagues in Football, Volleyball and Basketball and will compete in all Alberta Schools Athletic Association (ASAA) sports where possible. As mentioned earlier, we are not sure of our student population at this time. If our student population is lower than expected in Grades 11 and 12 we may adjust our athletic participation in cooperation with the above organizations.
