What substances will be contained in water discharged from the plant?
The mineral content of the discharge water will be similar to the source water from the Oconee River. The majority of process water and storm water will be re-circulated within the plant process water loop and reused. Cooling tower blow down water that is not recycled will be tested to ensure it meets state and federal water quality standards prior to being returned to the Oconee River.
