What suitable methods are there for determining safe reaction forces on valve bodies designed to ASME B16.34?
In cases where reaction forces have to be considered it is usual to demonstrate that the section modulus of the valve end is greater than the section modulus of the pipe, taking into account the valve and pipe material strengths.
