What tattoo colours can be removed using lasers?
ND YAG lasers (1064 nanometres) achieve excellent long term results when used to remove black and blue pigments. KTP lasers (532 nanometres) achieve similar excellent results on red, brown and orange pigments. Another sort of laser, a Ruby Q-Switch (694 nanometres) is often needed for green pigments. A Ruby Q-Switch laser is currently not available at The Skin Clinic. Removing white pigments remains a technical challenge for all lasers but this colour is relatively uncommon.
