Here’s what I recommend and I’ve done it many times before with good results. I don’t like to spend a lot of money on racquets etither, so I find a sporting goods store or specialty tennis shop that allows you to demo racquets. Of course, the ones they sell will be pretty expensive, but it will give you a chance to see what feels good to you. When you find one you like, write down the specs which will usually be printed on the inside of the throat just above the handle. Copy down the weight, length, string tension, etc. Then return the racquets and tell them you’ll decide later if you want to buy one. Then go to a sporting goods store or department store and find a racquet in your price range that comes closest to the figures you’ve written down. Chances are you’ll be pretty happy with that. You can also check eBay and you may find a used racquet that is the exact make and model of the one you liked that’s cheaper than the new one. It’s not usually a good idea to just take someone else
