What time of the season do english budgies breed and can i keep alot together or they have to be moved?
Budgies in captivity breed at any time of year that the conditions are right. Conditions meaning light conditions, good food sources and good health. A breeding season applies only to budgies in the bush in Australia. There are a lot of hazards involved in colony breeding budgies in an aviary and unless done right you will experience fights over nestboxes, smashed eggs and killed babies. Certainly not one nesting box per pair but more like two nestboxes per pair. Unless you are at home all day to monitor the situation it would be better to just pull out of the aviary the pairs you want to breed in a breeder cage for the duration and put them all back in the aviary when done.
