Amsterdam has hundreds of interesting museums covering almost any topic you can think of. You should definitely see the Anne Frank House while you’re there. The Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh museums are places I visit on almost every trip – I’m in Amsterdam 6 to 8 times a year. The Rembrandt House is very good. I like the Ons’ Lieve Heer op Solder museum. The Hermitage of St Petersburg is opening a branch in Amsterdam soon – that should be very interesting. Or try the Historical Museum or NEMO, the science museum. There’s a houseboat museum. Walk the canals and sit in the cafes with an actual coffee in Rembrandtplein and/or Leidseplein. You can get a museum boat ticket and hop-on and off at the various stops to get around.
