What to expect after endometrial ablation?
Endometrial ablation is the removal of the uternine lining and is generally performed as a method to control heavy or painful periods. The procedure is done under a local or general anestetic and the patient will go home on the same day, unless rare complications occur. Most patients experience mild symptoms following the procedure, including cramping or discomfort. Recovery is generally very fast, involving only a couple of days.
