Do not add water! It will only cause your chocolate to seize, making it hard a lumpy. If it didn't drizzle well, you may not have melted it properly. If it wasn't for long enough or went for too long it will be lumpy. If you melted it properly, then there are a couple ways to make better chocolate for drizzling. One is to add a tiny bit of butter or shortening (very small amounts). This will help keep it from setting up too much and will help keep it soft. Oil will also work, but again, in tiny amounts. The other option is to buy wafer chocolate. It comes in bags and is shaped like wafers. Wilton makes it in a lot of different colors and a few other companies make it. It's designed to be melted and reharden multiple times and is designed to be hard to be mess up. I use it for covering candies and it works much better than regular chocolate.  more
